Daniel Radu
Daniel Radu, Romanian born guitarist who studied at CSUS under the tutelage of Dr. Richard Savino, has participated in numerous competitions and festivals in Romania as well as Southern and Northern California. He has participated and qualified in the second round of the Portland Guitar Festival and Competition in Oregon.
Studies in both Romania and US offered him the chance to work with different teachers, mentors, and master classes with renowned guitarists and musicians such as David Tanenbaum, Angel Romero, Denis Azabagic and recently the guitarist and composer Gyan Riley, also a tutor at CSUS. He has been a part of baroque ensemble Camerata Capistrano under the direction of Lorna Peters.
Daniel currently works at Kremona as a product specialist and guitar technician. He has also worked closely with the Sacramento Guitar Society as a director and is in the process of finishing a masters in music performance, also at CSUS.
Mayleah Brown
Mayleah's ongoing interest for the violin began at age 7 under the tutelage of Ingrid Peters at the Pease Conservatory of Music in Sacramento, California where she was introduced to the Suzuki Method and other schools of music. She went on to continue her studies indepednently and then, for four years in high school, joined the String Ensemble as 2nd and 1st violinist in the Christian Brother's String Ensemble where she was exposed to both classical and contemporary repertoire. While in high school, Mayleah took private lessons with Reylynn Goessling at Kline's Music for another 2 years.
Mayleah took a break from the violin to focus on a different career in Special Education and majored with a BA in Child Development as well as a credential in Early Childhood Special Education. She rekindled her passion with the violin and invested in a Kremona Stradivari Oppenheim violin which she affectionately calls "Oppy".
